Table 6.1 — Compensation rates
Daily slab-wise GCC (₹/m³/day). Worked example shown below the table.
| Assessment area | Up to 10 | > 10 up to 50 | > 50 up to 500 | > 500 up to 2,500 | Above 2,500 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GREEN | 2 | 8 | 12 | 20 | 28 |
| YELLOW | 4 | 12 | 18 | 28 | 36 |
| ORANGE | 6 | 16 | 24 | 36 | 44 |
Table 6.1 — compensation rate in ₹/m³ per day (progressive slabs). Total GCC per day = sum of (volume in each band × rate). Multiply by chargeable days after deducting the Table 3.1 transition period.
Worked example
Orange zone, 35,000 m³/month, applied 4 months 21 days late → 3-month transition → 51 chargeable days. Monthly charge ₹5,31,600; GCC/day ₹35,512; total GCC ₹18,11,112; delay payment ₹47,844.
Table 6.1
Groundwater Compensation Charges (GCC)
Calculate GCC for delayed permission (Table 6.1) plus optional delay payment on overdue groundwater charges. Pre-filled with the PWRDA worked example (Orange, 35,000 m³/month, 4m 21d late).
Months and days until application was filed.
For delay payment (Table 6.2, item 11): monthly charge × months × 3%.
